Paediatric Haematologist

Dr Elizabeth Prime is a talented and passionate paediatric haematologist starting private practice and will be delighted to review children and adolescents with haematological issues. These include: anaemia and iron deficiency, easy bruising, neutropenia and lymphopenia, bone marrow disease, ITP, familial bleeding disorders, haemoglobin disorders and prothrombotic tendencies. 

Elizabeth studied medicine at Monash University in Melbourne, after which she moved to Sydney to commence her paediatric training. She completed her advanced training in haematology at the Children’s Hospital Westmead, Monash Health and the Royal Children’s Hospital. She holds dual fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.

Elizabeth has recently completed a fellowship in Apheresis Therapy at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and now pursuing a PhD with the Transfusion Research Unit at Monash University, focusing on Aplastic Anaemia and Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes.
