Haematologists are experts in looking after patients with disorders which involve the blood or blood forming organs. This includes patients with clotting or bleeding problems, thalassemia & other haemoglobin disorders, and cancers such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. We also manage patients who require transfusion of blood or other blood products.

Medical oncologists are experts in looking after patients with cancer and are often the main health care provider for someone who has cancer. Usually, a medical oncologist manages a person’s care and treatment once he or she is diagnosed with cancer. In addition to administering chemotherapy and targeted therapies, they provide supportive care and may coordinate treatment given by other specialists.

Yes, you need a current referral to see our specialists. This will ensure you can claim your entitled rebate from Medicare.

A referral from a specialist is valid for 3 months only. A referral from your GP will be valid for 12 months, or longer if specified by your GP.

Please have your referral letter and all relevant results sent to our rooms prior to your appointment. This can be done via email (reception@ehog.com.au) or by fax on (03) 9457 6602.

If you are unable to do this, please bring your referral and relevant results with you on the day. Please also bring a list of your current medications.

We require your Medicare card and health insurance details on the day.

The New Patient form that can filled in on arrival, or downloaded and completed in advance.

We are located on the second floor of 210 Burgundy Street, next door to Warringal Private Hospital. Paid parking is available at the Warringal Hospital Carpark, access from Burgundy street; or at multiple sites of paid street parking on Burgundy Street, Stradbroke Ave and Martin Street.

Please contact reception for initial and follow-up appointment fees for our specialists on (03) 9459 5333. Accounts are paid on the day of the appointment.

Further fees may be required if you need to have blood tests, scans or other tests from the relevant pathology or radiology providers.

In our private rooms you will be able to claim a rebate from Medicare. When you are an inpatient, you are covered by your health fund.
